People have been taking pictures of cats since the camera was first

of grimacing couples in front of the olden camera, but cat pictures
were still the favorite subjects. For instance, since cats sleep
most of the day away, photographers would set up their large bellows
cameras next to a sleeping kitty, then fire when ready.

Of course, felines being felines, the animals would certainly
move just before the shutter was triggered. Taking cat pictures
like taking photos of children takes a lot of patience. The
unpredictable nature of both beasts means that when you catch
them in the act, the results will be cute, funny, marvelous
and definitely keepers.
However, mostly you'll end up with cat pictures of a fleeing
animal that is out-of-focus and over or under exposed. The
cat photos that do turn out, however, are the ones that make
